Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Engage in approximately three months of practical in-field and classroom training.

• Travel to customer locations in the Phoenix, Arizona area.

• Install, repair, troubleshoot, service, and calibrate sophisticated measuring instruments.

• Work hands-on with advanced Coordinate Measuring Machines utilizing both mechanical and electronic skills.

• Maintain thorough documentation of service activities and keep precise service records.

• Operate independently while representing ZEISS in a dynamic and innovative setting.

• Travel 70–90% within the specified region.


⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a minimum high school graduate, possess a GED, or have an equivalent qualification.

• Alternatively, completion of a technical school, an associate’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Electronics or Industrial Mechanics is acceptable.

• Alternatively, training and experience obtained from a Military Technical School will be considered.

• Prior experience using hand tools and basic electrical testing equipment is necessary.

• Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems is required.

• Must be capable of lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.

• Willingness and ability to work a minimum of 50 hours each week, including both regular hours and overtime, is essential.

• Ability to operate in an industrial production shop floor environment is crucial.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Previous experience in installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems is advantageous.

• Experience with CMM installation and troubleshooting is preferred but not mandatory.
