This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Carry out service, repair, and/or installation of products or IT solutions at client locations.
• Execute electrical and mechanical testing as per maintenance agreements.
• Identify system failures and determine the most cost-effective resolution.
• Elevate complex issues to higher-level technical support or the quality reporting system.
• Answer customer support calls within the Western Region.
• Offer technical support and field service for In-Situ Process Sensors and Analyzers, including In-Situ, ChemScan, and Partech products.
• Conduct on-site installation, calibration, and training for process sensors and online water analysis instruments.
• Assist clients with product reliability, uptime, remote service, and replacement parts.
• Collaborate with site owners and contractors for effective equipment installation.
• Manage regional customer relationships.
• Support the Regional Sales Manager with technical assistance and pilot/demo projects.
• Participate in product and application training at an In-Situ Process facility.
• Keep an accurate inventory of field service kits.
• Prepare detailed service reports that include troubleshooting, parts utilized, and analyzer data.
• Assess unmet customer needs, promote service offerings, generate leads, and aid in service-job completion.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years of experience in Troubleshooting & Diagnostics.
• Mechanical knowledge.
• Strong technical foundation with solid mechanical and electrical skills.
• Completed a chemistry course with a fundamental understanding.
• Experience with industrial instrumentation, including basic knowledge of PLC equipment communication.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office.
• Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time to client locations.
• Capability to travel with and lift/carry a field service supply kit weighing between 50–65 pounds.
• Must be able to perform tasks in noisy environments.
• Ability to work under adverse conditions, including inclement weather and extreme temperatures.
• Intermediate physical activity involving lifting, bending, squatting, walking, and navigating stairs.
