This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +2 more states.
• Conduct installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of analytical and microscopy equipment at client locations.
• Identify electronics, mechanical, ultra-high vacuum, high-voltage, and system-level issues to restore instrument functionality.
• Deliver prompt, professional customer support while fulfilling service commitments and achieving customer satisfaction objectives.
• Educate and assist customers on equipment operation, maintenance techniques, and basic troubleshooting methods.
• Maintain accurate documentation of field service activities, including installation and service work reports, submitting them through the designated system.
• Support Commercial Teams by providing technical information, training, and product demonstrations.
• Oversee territory operations, which includes scheduling, travel planning, parts coordination, and communication with clients and internal teams.
• Collaborate with internal technical support, service leadership, and cross-functional teams to address complex customer challenges.
• Provide support in the Texas region, with additional coverage extending to New Mexico and Louisiana.
• Expect to travel approximately 80% within the assigned territory and occasionally to other regions based on business requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline, with 5+ years of experience in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating analytical instruments, or an Advanced Degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Proven expertise with complex electro-mechanical systems, preferably with High Resolution Mass Spectrometry instruments.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills for both hardware and software issues.
• Prior experience in mentoring and training others is preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with the ability to foster positive customer relationships.
• Capability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Ability to work independently while ensuring effective team collaboration.
• Availability to address urgent customer needs.
• Proficient in Windows operating systems, networking, and standard business applications.
• Must adhere to all safety protocols and be capable of working in cleanroom environments when necessary.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and operate in laboratory settings.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
• Must successfully pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 80% of the time.
