This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nebraska.
• Execute field service tasks remotely at client locations.
• Install and maintain injection molding machinery.
• Diagnose and repair injection molding machines and robotic systems.
• Perform tests and inspections on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and software components.
• Carry out calibrations to enhance equipment performance.
• Install both software and hardware as required.
• Conduct safety inspections of equipment.
• Train customers on equipment usage and guide them on proper operation.
• Oversee the resolution of customer issues, including ordering and installing replacement parts.
• Identify control-system issues and requisition replacement parts.
• Provide instruction to Service Technicians and customer operators on the maintenance and safe use of injection molding systems.
• Liaise with Central Service, Manufacturing, and Parts Center to address field-related issues.
• Submit regular written reports to the Service Manager.
• High School Diploma is mandatory.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in troubleshooting or processing of injection molding, or previous experience as a Field Service Injection Molding Technician/Service Engineer.
• Familiarity with blueprints and schematics for diagnosing electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with injection molding machines is essential.
• Strong skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and computer systems.
• Capability to deliver basic training to customers and staff.
• Comprehensive understanding of the injection molding process.
• Ability to systematically troubleshoot issues.
• Knowledge of microprocessor programming.
• Understanding of materials such as PET, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Styrene, and other common materials.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong orientation towards customer service.
• Ability to manage challenging or dissatisfied customers with professionalism and tact.
• Committed team player with a positive outlook.
• Familiarity with ENGEL machines and robots is preferred.
• Efficient use of internal resources to resolve customer challenges.
• Capability to work autonomously with minimal back-office assistance.
• Valid passport is a requirement.
• A valid driver’s license in good standing with REAL-ID is required.
