Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Execute customer installations, maintenance, and service calls in a timely and effective manner.

• Service electromechanical devices such as self-checkout systems within a designated territory.

• Carry out maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, and system overhauls.

• Engage with customers as the first point of contact in a friendly, helpful, and approachable way.

• Organize and prioritize customer issues, proactively addressing potential problems.

• Service or replace networking hardware such as access points and switches.

• Complete both formal virtual and hands-on training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a local candidate within a specific geographic area.

• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets NCR fleet requirements.

• Proficient in PC skills, basic electronic skills, and knowledgeable about specific hardware and operating systems.

• Capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Willingness to travel extensively, including driving for several hours each day.

• Must be available for rotating shifts and weekend work.

• Flexible with shift hours, including morning, afternoon, and evening start times, as well as some holidays.

• Able to lift and carry tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 150 lbs. with assistance.

• Ability to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, use hands, and repetitively grasp and manipulate objects.

• Open to training on and operating small-scale scissor lifts in retail settings.

• Familiarity with large servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software.

• A+ Certification, CompTIA, and N+ Certification are required.

• One or more years of relevant experience is preferred.
