Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Carry out installations, maintenance, and service calls at customer locations promptly and effectively.

• Maintain electromechanical equipment, such as self-checkout systems, within a designated territory.

• Perform maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance (PM), and system refurbishment tasks.

• Organize and prioritize customer requests efficiently.

• Act as the initial point of contact for customers, communicating professionally to determine suitable solutions.

• Proactively address potential issues before they arise.

• Represent NCR Voyix as a brand ambassador.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside locally within the assigned geographic area.

• Must be authorized to travel to the United States.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving record that aligns with NCRV fleet requirements.

• Must have computer skills, basic electronics knowledge, and familiarity with specific hardware and operating systems.

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Must be willing to travel extensively, including driving several hours each day.

• Must be available for rotating shifts and weekend work.

• Must have a flexible schedule with morning, afternoon, and evening rotating-shift starts, including some holidays.

• Must be capable of carrying and lifting tools, parts, and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs with assistance.

• Must be able to bend, squat, walk, stand, sit, reach, work with hands, and repeatedly perform grasping and handling motions involving various-sized objects.

• Offers of employment are contingent upon passing applicable screening criteria for the job.

• Knowledge of high-capacity servers, mainframe computers, and imaging software is preferred but not required.

• A+, CompTIA, or N+ certifications are preferred but not required.

• One year or more of relevant experience is preferred but not required.
