Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Travel to client locations to deliver service and support to customers.

• Efficiently repair, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial and industrial dehumidification systems.

• Identify and rectify malfunctions across all equipment.

• Conduct training sessions for customers on standard Munters equipment.

• Submit comprehensive field service reports and offer technical insights on equipment.

• Engage professionally with customers in person, through written communication, and via phone.

• Drive sales and services related to company equipment.

• Operate independently.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in the commercial or industrial HVAC sector, or a combination of relevant work experience and successful completion of HVAC/R vocational training.

• Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80%) and the capability to travel by plane.

• Must be able to obtain a CFC Certification within 90 days of hire.

• Experience with HVAC/Refrigeration systems and components is essential.

• Proficiency in PLC (Programmable Logical Controls) is highly preferred.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Basic understanding of electrical schematics is necessary.

• Physical capability to handle heavy work, involving the exertion of up to 75 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently or constantly.

• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs using appropriate lifting techniques.

• Capacity to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily.

• Must utilize required personal protective equipment.

• Willingness to travel and be away from home for several days as needed.

• Openness to on-call responsibilities as required.

• Flexibility to occasionally work on weekends and/or holidays.

• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Ability to work at heights of 6 feet or more.

• Willingness and capability to use personal protective equipment, safety gear, harnesses, and tie-off points.

• Commitment to proper ladder safety and techniques.

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• Completion of HVAC school or equivalent training.

• Proficiency in the English language is essential.

• HVAC/R experience with a focus on commercial/industrial applications.

• Relevant technical skills or trade school background.

• EPA Universal/608 certification is necessary.

• CFC License is required.
