Lead Integration Engineer – Field

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Engage in customer meetings and conference calls to assist with interface design, training, and validation.

• Build long-lasting business relationships with both internal and external clients.

• Offer team support and detailed product information regarding assigned BD products.

• Collaborate with customer teams to achieve consensus and deliver clear, consistent communication.

• Consult with Senior/Principal Integration Engineers as necessary.

• Exhibit knowledge of BD products and their integration with customer systems.

• Support integration with hospital information systems and aid in system validation.

• Work alongside diverse cross-functional teams within medium to large healthcare organizations.

• Take part in Integration Engineer Learning Path training activities.

• Engage in product/version upgrade integration validation.

• Plan and execute projects that align with both company and client objectives.

• Troubleshoot and provide consultation on BD product integration, best practices, and standardization.

• Serve as the team liaison for assigned BD products and host systems.

• Keep accurate account backups and documentation.

• Ensure timely completion of project documentation.

• Monitor and update on escalated critical issues.

• Adhere to BD and Integration Engineer policies and procedures.

• Work autonomously and adjust to shifting priorities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.

• Familiarity with HIS integration systems, BD products, and hospital workflows.

• At least three years of experience in a healthcare setting with technical systems involvement and computerized system applications.

• Knowledge of HL7 and EDI standards.

• Required experience with integrated delivery networks/multi-facility health systems.

• Suggested certifications include HL7, MCSE, HIPAA, and experience with interface engines (eGate, Cloverleaf, Mirth, etc.).

• Ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs.

• Must provide proof of and maintain current immunizations and acquire additional immunizations mandated by customer facilities.

• Must hold a current driver’s license and comply with BD auto safety standards.

• Flexibility to work hours that include nights and weekends.

• Capacity to work independently from a home office.

• Willingness to travel overnight as necessary.
