Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Oversee on-site inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of utility-scale solar equipment.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on inverters, transformers, trackers, combiner boxes, substations, and electrical systems.

• Ensure compliance with PPE usage, safe work practices, and adherence to company and regulatory safety standards.

• Conduct AC/DC diagnostic testing and root-cause analysis.

• Utilize SCADA and monitoring systems to track performance, analyze alarms, and generate corrective work orders.

• Provide training and support for field personnel and subcontractors on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance best practices.

• Travel frequently to project sites for scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs, including storm damage and system outages.

• Identify opportunities for process enhancements to boost reliability, efficiency, and overall plant performance.

• Fulfill training, administrative duties, expense reporting, and other company tasks during home rotations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong understanding of AC and DC electrical theory and application.

• Knowledge of power systems or equivalent military experience.

• Familiarity with electrical, instrumentation, and control engineering schematics.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

• Willingness to travel 95% of the time.

• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without the need for visa transfer or sponsorship.

• Ability to successfully pass a drug test.

• Practical experience in utility-scale solar O&M, including inverters, trackers, PV systems, transformers, substations, or similar electrical power systems (preferred).

• Proficiency in SCADA systems, diagnostic tools, and infrared imaging (preferred).

• Knowledge of battery energy storage systems and experience in commissioning, maintenance, or repair work (preferred).

• Credentials such as NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, or OEM-specific training (preferred).
