Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Oversee all elements of customer service and support for clients.

• Troubleshoot and repair high-speed cash-handling equipment independently.

• Manage and track parts and tools effectively.

• Stay updated on technical and functional advancements related to GLORY equipment.

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

• Identify system issues and perform necessary repairs.

• Keep customers informed about progress during maintenance or system downtimes.

• Execute machine installations, handle Engineering Change Notices for system upgrades, and manage hardware/software upgrades.

• Comply with safety protocols and policies.

• Complete mandatory Environmental Health & Safety training.

• Promptly report any job-site accidents involving injuries or property damage.

• Travel daily from home to customer locations within the assigned territory.

• Report directly to the District Service Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Enrollment in or completion of professional studies in electro-mechanics, electrical engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• Preferred certifications in related areas such as mechanics, electronics, automation, or data processing.

• Strong customer service and communication abilities.

• Proficient with personal computers, particularly Microsoft Office, network sites, and email correspondence.

• Logical troubleshooting capabilities and the ability to identify issues at the PCB or component level.

• Competence in working with electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.

• Understanding of AC/DC power distribution and digital/analog circuitry.

• Experience in repairing high-speed paper-handling devices such as check sorters, mail sorters, or currency sorters; experience with ATMs or copiers is a plus.

• 3–5 years of preferred technical field service repair experience.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance from the designated territory.

• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds unaided.

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and frequently kneel, bend, squat, sit, and twist.

• Must be able to work at various customer sites as required, including financial institutions, casinos, truck stops, recreational parks, and retail locations.

• Willingness to work weekends and/or holidays on a rotational basis.

• Availability for on-call duty, typically every 3 to 5 weeks, including evenings and weekends.

• Capability to drive to customer sites during working hours.

• Occasional travel outside the assigned territory, including air travel and overnight stays, may be required.

• Ability to work in environments with limited accessibility at job sites.

• Self-sufficient work ethic with minimal supervision.

• Proficient in reading and completing basic math calculations.

• Ability to manage moderate levels of stress effectively.
