Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for product lines by coaching and mentoring both internal and partner technicians during installations and repairs.

• Spearhead special projects that demand technical expertise.

• Identify technical deficiencies and seek out effective solutions.

• Offer remote and on-site customer support and repairs across Mexico, North America, and South America.

• Tackle complex service challenges utilizing KT methodology, data analysis, and problem-solving techniques.

• Maintain communication with the Technical Service Manager, Regional Service Manager, and the Technical Phone Support team.

• Foster strong relationships with customers.

• Conduct pre-installation assessments and equipment site evaluations.

• Accurately complete and submit service activity documentation and associated paperwork.

• Oversee and manage parts returns.

• Administer and fulfill preventative maintenance obligations.

• Attend global training sessions.

• Collaborate with product manufacturers, including those located overseas.

• Facilitate technical training sessions for technicians.

• Support sales efforts through demonstrations and customer visits.

• Monitor critical accounts and engage in related support activities.

• Relay technical issues to technical management and support teams.

• Execute other related tasks as assigned by the manager.


⛳️ Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent.

• At least 8 years of field service experience in industry-related product lines.

• A two-year degree in electronics or mechanical engineering, or an equivalent amount of field experience.

• Field service background with toner-based production equipment.

• In-depth knowledge of electronics.

• Proficient computer skills, particularly with operating systems and hardware.

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with Microsoft applications.

• Excellent customer service capabilities.

• Possession of a valid state driver's license (Real ID compliant).

• A valid passport.

• Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 70% of the time.

• Availability to work weekends and overtime as required.
