Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical representative and ambassador for Formlabs throughout Italy

• Visit customer locations to unpack, set up, install, and calibrate 3D printing systems

• Provide structured on-site training for users on equipment, software, and basic maintenance practices

• Carry out live demonstrations of the products

• Quickly address customer downtime and execute urgent repairs

• Perform annual preventative maintenance visits within a 90-day target timeframe

• Diagnose electromechanical issues and achieve resolutions in a single visit

• Handle a high volume of field service work

• Independently coordinate flights, trains, hotels, rental cars, and expense reports

• Keep installation, training, and repair records updated in Salesforce

⛳️ Requirements

• Located in Milan or within a 45-minute commute

• Willingness to travel 80% or more of the time

• Solid technical background in electromechanics and hardware

• Capability to instruct others on the use of technical equipment

• Proficiency in English and Italian (C1-C2 level)

• A valid driver's license (B) is mandatory

• Fluency in German or French is a plus

• Enthusiasm for 3D printing and emerging technologies is an added advantage

• Experience in fast-paced startup environments is beneficial
