This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +3 more states.
• Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and analyze Eos commercial Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and third-party products offered by Eos.
• Deliver support through various channels including field visits, remote assistance, email, telephone, and remote-support tools.
• Access and update information utilizing the company's Field Service and Work Order Management systems.
• Create reports and provide training to customers.
• Address customer inquiries related to system functionality and performance.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of Eos commercial products and third-party offerings.
• Conduct acceptance and performance testing, troubleshooting, installations, startups, shutdowns, commissioning, and turnarounds of BESS.
• Handle high-voltage DC electricity, three-phase power, and associated BESS and third-party software.
• Evaluate and resolve warranty claims and assist customers with issues not covered by warranty.
• Provide support services and maintenance for existing systems.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• A minimum of one to three (1-3) years of field experience in Electrical/Electronics/Power electronics or network communications is preferred.
• A trade or vocational degree focusing on electrical work, renewable energy, or electronics is desirable.
• Prior experience in the renewable industry, particularly in energy storage, is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with applied problem-solving methodologies.
• Completion of electrical safety training such as NFPA70E or equivalent.
• Experience with Medium Voltage/Substation is an advantage.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively with Senior Field Service Technicians (FSTs) and Engineers.
• Proficient computer skills, including Windows, Office, and programming; experience with PLC/controls is a bonus.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, cranes, forklifts, and construction.
• Understanding of DC electrical systems and controls.
• Familiarity with electrical voltage meters and testing equipment.
• Awareness of the National Electrical Code.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with up to 100% of working time spent at field installations for up to three weeks at a time.
• Ability to work at considerable heights and in extreme environmental conditions, perform repetitive tasks for extended periods, and frequently lift at least 50 pounds.
• Outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy are essential.
• Access to company-provided Field Service and Work Order Management tools.
• Provision of safety equipment, including eye safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and lab coats.
