Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Diagnose and repair injection molding machines and robotic systems.

• Perform testing and inspections on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and software components.

• Execute calibrations to enhance equipment functionality.

• Install both software and hardware as needed.

• Conduct safety assessments on equipment.

• Provide customer education on equipment usage and proper operational techniques.

• Oversee the resolution of customer issues, including the ordering and installation of replacement parts.

• Identify control-system issues and formulate structured methods for machine repairs.

• Train Service Technicians and customer operators on maintenance and safe practices for injection molding systems.

• Liaise with Central Service, Manufacturing, and Parts Center to address field challenges.

• Submit regular written reports to the Service Manager.

• Work remotely at client locations.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma is mandatory.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in troubleshooting or processing injection molding, or previous experience as a Field Service Injection Molding Technician/Service Engineer.

• Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

• Familiarity with injection molding machinery.

• Versatile skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, computer systems, and customer training.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the injection molding process.

• Capability to troubleshoot issues in a systematic manner.

• Understanding of microprocessor programming.

• Awareness of materials such as PET, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Styrene, and other commonly used materials.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities with a strong focus on customer service.

• Competence in managing challenging or dissatisfied customers with professionalism and diplomacy.

• Possession of a valid passport.

• A valid driver’s license in good standing that includes REAL ID.
