This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Diagnose and rectify issues with injection molding machines and robots.
• Conduct testing and inspection of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and software components.
• Execute calibrations to enhance equipment efficiency.
• Carry out installations of both software and hardware.
• Perform safety assessments on equipment.
• Provide education to customers regarding equipment and guide them on proper operational procedures.
• Oversee the resolution of customer inquiries, including the ordering and installation of replacement parts.
• Identify control system issues and formulate structured methods for machine repairs.
• Train Service Technicians and customer operators on the maintenance and safe usage of injection molding systems.
• Collaborate with Central Service, Manufacturing, and Parts Center to address field-related issues.
• Submit regular written updates to the Service Manager.
• Operate remotely at customer locations while installing and servicing equipment, as well as offering customer training and support.
• A High School Diploma is mandatory.
• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in troubleshooting or processing injection molding, or prior experience as a Field Service Injection Molding Technician/Service Engineer.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics for the troubleshooting of electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with injection molding machines is essential.
• Comprehensive skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and computer systems.
• Capability to provide basic training to customers and employees.
• Solid understanding of the injection molding process.
• Ability to systematically troubleshoot issues.
• Knowledge of microprocessor programming.
• Familiarity with materials such as PET, Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Styrene, and other common materials.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A robust customer service orientation.
• Proficiency in managing challenging or dissatisfied customers with professionalism and tact.
• A dedicated team player with a positive mindset.
• Familiarity with ENGEL machines and robots is a plus.
• Must be capable of working independently with minimal back-office assistance.
• A valid passport is required.
• A driver’s license in good standing, including REAL ID, is required.
