Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform installation and servicing of instrumentation with minimal direct oversight.

• Conduct follow-up calls to customers who have recently received service.

• Manage car stock inventory, testing equipment, tools, and technical documentation.

• Complete service records in compliance with GMP standards.

• Keep expenses within the established guidelines for field service travel and site visits.

• Report quality control and technical issues to the Service Center and the System Support Engineering Manager.

• Use and maintain the company vehicle in accordance with Corporate fleet policies.

• Collaborate with various departments and managers to address customer issues.

• Deliver exceptional quality service to customers in alignment with BD standards.

• Oversee company-issued credit cards, travel advances, company vehicle, and spare and repair parts.

• Foster positive customer relations through professional demeanor, ethical conduct, maturity, and sound judgment.

• Cover a territory that includes Philadelphia, Upstate New York, New Jersey, and the New York Metro Area.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in repairing instruments or components.

• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

• Prior experience as a Field Service Engineer is essential.

• Familiarity with repairing medical device instruments is preferred.

• Experience in customer-facing roles is necessary.

• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.

• Knowledge of current Mac and PC operating systems.

• Willingness to travel 60%, including 1–2 overnight stays per week.
