Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Identify errors and technical issues, providing effective solutions.

• Execute electronic and mechanical repairs along with troubleshooting.

• Keep up-to-date with technical product knowledge.

• Create and submit timely, detailed service reports.

• Address customer needs and foster positive relationships.

• Ensure tools and calibrated equipment are well-maintained.

• Fulfill daily service requirements at designated sites and locations.

• Plan and carry out repairs and preventative maintenance independently in the field.

• Organize work based on field requirements.

• Provide service coverage for Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) and nearby areas.

• Report directly to the Area Manager of Security Field Service.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.

• At least 3-5 years of experience in troubleshooting and repair.

• Excellent time management skills, capable of completing assigned small field projects.

• Technically proficient; innovative, quick to learn, and adaptable to new technology.

• Professional demeanor with a strong customer focus.

• Proven written and verbal communication skills.

• Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic schedule and work environment.

• Must pass a criminal background check, drug screening, pre-employment physical, and credit evaluation.

• Ability to perform essential physical functions of the job safely and effectively.

• Capable of meeting essential qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

• Required to obtain and maintain an Airport ID Badge in line with the Airport Security Plan and TSA regulations.

• Must secure and uphold necessary public trust security clearance (eApp).

• Authorized to access and manage Sensitive Security Information (SSI).

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary.

• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time by plane, both domestically and internationally.

• Required to possess a Real ID and Passport for international travel.

• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency (green card) is mandatory.

• Must be available for overtime and flexible hours as business demands.

• Certified trade training is preferred.
