Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Perform service tasks in accordance with established work instructions while adhering to ABB's quality and safety standards.

• Plan and execute customer service in alignment with customer orders and expectations.

• Communicate timelines and expectations for service work to enhance customer retention.

• Collaborate with customers on-site to identify areas for operational improvement and address pain points.

• Carry out field service duties and diagnose technical issues through remote or on-site assistance.

• Compile material lists for service tasks and ensure the availability and appropriateness of materials, parts, and equipment.

• Provide training for field service associates and customers as necessary.

• Report directly to the Service Team Leader.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid Journeyman Electrician’s License is required.

• A High School Diploma is mandatory.

• At least 1 year of experience in electrical preventative maintenance, installation, and repair.

• Experience as a licensed field service technician is essential.

• Proficiency in using necessary hand and power tools associated with the electrical field.

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in conduit bending (EMT) to consistently produce quality work.

• Experience with infrared windows is preferred.

• A working knowledge of current NEC codes is required.

• Familiarity and experience working with 480V commercial switchboards is essential.

• Industrial experience is considered a significant advantage.
