Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Collaborate on-site with clients to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing operations and alleviating issues.

• Conduct field service responsibilities, including diagnosing technical problems and performing certified on-site troubleshooting.

• Create material lists for service tasks, ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment adhere to quality standards and are readily available.

• Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, expansions, upgrades, retrofits, end-of-life services, and replacements.

• Foster and sustain positive customer relationships to boost satisfaction.

• Recognize potential new sales opportunities while addressing client needs and relay these internally.

• Detect potential equipment failures early and suggest corrective measures.

• Identify and propose enhancements to products and quality.

• Provide suggestions to management for enhancing operations and customer service.

• Adhere to safety protocols and uphold safe work and environmental practices.

• Promptly report unsafe practices and incidents.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certificate in Skilled Trades (electrical and electronics certification preferred).

• OSHA 30 certification is mandatory.

• Capability to effectively interact and communicate (both written and verbal) with various levels within the organization.

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office products.

• Experience in Project Management using MS Project or Excel is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines on administrative tasks.

• Demonstrates speed and ownership; continues until the job is finished.

• Candidates must possess work authorization allowing them to work for ABB in the US.
