Field Service Technician, Appliance Repair

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Travel to customer locations to carry out maintenance and repairs on LG's equipment.

• Utilize all safety equipment (PPE), as well as vehicle and diagnostic tools provided by LG.

• Perform technical diagnostics and specialized repairs on electronics and home appliances.

• Identify issues, evaluate the severity of problems, document findings, and determine whether to repair products or replace parts.

• Complete paperwork and conduct data entry promptly and accurately after each service call.

• Pre-screen service calls for the next day by gathering information to assist in diagnosing issues before arriving at customers' residences.

• Achieve or surpass company metrics, which include customer satisfaction, fix-right-first-time rates, revisit frequencies, parts management, and overtime percentages.

• Professionally represent LG as the face of the company to customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a technical role (preferably in appliance repair).

• Background in repairing major appliances (refrigeration/sealed systems, cooking, and cleaning products).

• Proficient in using tools and diagnostic test equipment.

• Capability to effectively troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and document product/system issues.

• Valid driver's license in good standing.

• Ability to obtain the necessary EPA Certification.

• Physical ability to frequently bend and lift up to 50 pounds.

• Willingness to work in the Virginia Beach metro area and surrounding locations (Norfolk, Chesapeake, Hampton).
