📋 Description

• Carry out onsite installation, qualification, upgrades, repairs, and preventative maintenance services on next-generation sequencers.

• Diagnose root causes and resolve product issues in the field, with assistance when necessary.

• Exhibit professionalism, understanding, tact, and technical expertise during customer interactions.

• Implement and adhere to spare-parts handling policies, including ordering, usage, returns, physical counts, and car stock management.

• Utilize service CRM software to meticulously document work in a timely manner.

• Provide support to the expanding customer base in the Southeast region.

• Report directly to the Senior Manager of Field Service Engineering.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree with over 3 years of relevant experience in engineering, physics, biology, chemistry, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience.

• Preferred experience with NGS sequencing instruments and sequencing run setup.

• Capability to troubleshoot complex laboratory equipment involving chemistry, software, and hardware.

• Experience in servicing scientific instrumentation that includes optics, fluid handling, and thermal systems.

• Preferred experience with multiple full life cycle product launches.

• Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, C++, or Java is preferred.

• Helpful experience with fluorescence microscopy.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing capabilities.

• Flexible working hours, with potential customer support required during non-standard business hours.

• Demonstrated skills in account management are preferred.

• Regularly required to move boxes weighing up to 20 pounds.

• Willingness to travel domestically up to 80% of the time.
