Traveling Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Troubleshoot or install intricate, tailored packaging and processing equipment at client locations.

• Swiftly and effectively repair equipment according to client specifications.

• Tackle challenges related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and robotic systems.

• Educate clients on the safe operation, maintenance, and ordering of equipment parts.

• Provide service team contact details for future service and parts inquiries.

• Ensure clients comprehend operational and safety protocols.

• Accurately complete service documentation and submit trip expenses within 24 hours following job completion.

• Timely and accurately finish weekly expense reports and timesheets.

• Manage expenses in a cost-effective manner.

• Travel to client facilities, often requiring overnight stays.

• Adapt to both internal and external customer schedules.

• Work on either a 10 consecutive days on/4 days off schedule or Monday to Friday with one working weekend per month, as determined by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Capability to troubleshoot large-scale, complex machinery mechanically, electrically, and operationally.

• Extensive experience in electrical and mechanical fields.

• Proficiency in pneumatic systems and machine shop skills.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings.

• Knowledge of electromechanical systems.

• Advanced problem-solving abilities.

• Capacity to work independently.

• Exceptional customer service expertise.

• Ability to maintain professionalism in high-stress settings.

• Adaptability to changing or new situations.

• Flexibility to work schedules outside of standard business hours and some weekends.

• Willingness to travel on short notice.

• Overnight stays are required most workdays.

• Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Capability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.

• Adeptness in close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision; ability to adjust focus.
