Field Service Technician – Appliance Repair

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Travel to customer locations offsite to conduct maintenance and repair on LG's equipment.

• Utilize safety gear, vehicles, and diagnostic tools provided by LG.

• Perform technical diagnostics and specialized repairs on electronics and home appliances.

• Identify issues, evaluate their severity, document observations, and determine whether to repair items or replace components.

• Complete necessary paperwork and enter data promptly and accurately after each service call.

• Pre-screen service calls for the following day by gathering information to assist in problem diagnosis prior to visiting customer homes.

• Achieve or surpass company metrics, including customer satisfaction, first-time fix rates, revisit frequency, parts management, and overtime percentage.

• Oversee inventory management and execute daily administrative responsibilities.

• Represent LG in a professional manner while providing an outstanding in-home customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a technical position (appliance repair preferred).

• Background in repairing major appliances (including refrigeration/sealed systems, cooking, and cleaning products).

• Proficient in using tools and diagnostic testing equipment.

• Capable of effectively troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and documenting product/system issues.

• Possess a valid driver's license in good standing.

• Ability to achieve the necessary EPA Certification.

• Meet the physical demands associated with field service repairs, including continuous bending and lifting of up to 50 pounds.

• Willingness to work in the Grand Rapids metro area and its surroundings.
