
Field Service Engineer, Weekend Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Install, support, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Intuitive products within the designated region.
• Ensure that service agreements and warranty commitments are fulfilled and surpassed.
• Document service activities, maintain detailed records, and provide reports to relevant stakeholders.
• Complete administrative duties and necessary reports within established timeframes.
• Offer technical support to end-users and employees of Intuitive.
• Conduct training sessions at Intuitive facilities, training centers, and hospitals.
• Perform system inspections, preventive maintenance, software updates, recalls, field actions, and upgrades.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Intuitive products and related equipment.
• Coordinate and execute system and hardware delivery and installation.
• Adhere to operating-room protocols and HIPAA regulations.
• Manage spare parts inventory, Field Activity Reports, Return Material Authorizations, and expense reports.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, laptops, iPads, and other company-provided assets.
• Collaborate with Sales, Genesis, and other teams within Intuitive.
• Provide feedback to headquarters and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete necessary equipment training, university courses, and professional development programs.
• Manage customer needs, system installation base configurations, customer contacts, training, and events in the assigned area.
• Provide quarterly reviews and assessments of the assigned area to management.
• Associate’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent training/experience.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Capacity to identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• Openness to undertake ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.
• Reside generally within 30 miles of the assigned territory or designated area.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including second or other shifts as required.
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. and move wheeled objects weighing up to 1,200 lbs.
• Clean driving record.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain Vendor Credentialing approval for operating room access.
• Compliance with vaccination requirements set by vendor credentialing.
• Proven experience troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Comfortable working outside regular hours with limited support.
• Exceptional administrative and record-keeping skills.
• Minimum 1 year of Field Service Experience preferred.
• Current proof of vaccination may be requested by Intuitive and/or customers.
• Candidates may be subject to U.S. export-control regulations.
• Remote work arrangement; employees are required to come onsite when requested by their leader.
