Field Service Engineer – Traverse City to Upper Peninsula

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Perform troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications, and service repairs on Beckman Coulter Chemistry, Immunoassay, and laboratory automation equipment.

• Deliver outstanding and efficient service to customers.

• Facilitate technical training on products.

• Keep precise customer service logs and internal service documentation.

• Order repair parts while adhering to cycle times.

• Utilize OBI, Salesforce, and SharePoint for service call planning and to support team objectives.

• Engage with both internal and external customers to address their distinct needs.

• Aid in training new Field Service Engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree, ideally in technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering, or a related field; equivalent military experience; or a high school diploma.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, including 10% overnight travel and occasional travel to other locations.

• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.

• Capacity to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Preferred 2+ years of advanced troubleshooting experience.

• Ability to build relationships with both internal and external customers to promote positive partnerships and improve customer satisfaction and retention.
