Field Service Engineer – STS, RTG, RMG Cranes

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Conduct testing on mechanical products and equipment following repairs or modifications.

• Replace or repair damaged and worn components.

• Operate and evaluate machines or heavy equipment to identify defects.

• Dismantle and reassemble heavy machinery using hoists and hand tools.

• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and lubrication of equipment.

• Interpret manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.

• Overhaul and assess machines or equipment for operational efficiency.

• Utilize handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, pressure gauges, and other testing instruments to diagnose issues.

• Inspect parts, dimensions, and clearances to ensure compliance with factory specifications.

• Complete required paperwork, including work reports, timesheets, and expense forms.

• Uphold quality standards through visual and mechanical inspections.

• Advocate for safe work practices and supervise hazardous waste handling and disposal.

• Prepare for jobs by verifying parts and drawings for accuracy and completeness.

• Assist customers with troubleshooting and inquiries related to parts.

• Keep service literature updated and remain informed about technical changes.

• Temporarily take on lead-person responsibilities as needed.

• Provide training and mentorship to colleagues within the department.

• Care for and maintain company tools, machines, and equipment.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

• Minimum of 5+ years of direct experience as a technician with Liebherr Port Equipment.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the time.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and passport.

• Availability for overtime, weekends, or on-call duties.

• Proficient in Crane Management software.

• Capable of reading and interpreting operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.

• Ability to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision.

• Must possess the minimum required tools necessary for job performance.
