
Field Service Engineer – Multi-Modality Imaging, MRI / CT / XR / Ultrasound

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Install, commission, upgrade, and decommission GE HealthCare imaging systems, which include MRI, CT, X-Ray, and Ultrasound equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance activities to ensure maximum equipment uptime, reliability, and operational performance.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, electrical, and networking issues utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and service documentation.
• Perform repairs, calibrations, modifications, and software updates in alignment with quality and safety standards.
• Offer technical guidance and support to clinical and biomedical engineering teams.
• Precisely document service activities, maintenance records, and technical findings within designated service management systems.
• Manage spare parts inventory to guarantee the timely availability of essential components.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships through professional communication and proactive resolution of issues.
• Engage in an on-call rotation to assist with urgent customer needs as necessary.
• Continuously enhance technical expertise through training and ongoing learning opportunities.
• Work directly at customer locations, supporting healthcare providers throughout Ireland.
• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent technical experience.
• Prior experience servicing complex medical imaging systems or advanced electro-mechanical equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a talent for diagnosing and repairing intricate systems.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and healthcare IT environments, including DICOM and PACS.
• Exceptional communication and customer-facing skills.
• Capability to work independently and efficiently manage a field-based workload.
• Proficiency in technical documentation, diagnostic software, and service tools.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move equipment as necessary.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting MRI, CT, X-Ray, Ultrasound, or other diagnostic imaging modalities.
• Preferred: Familiarity with GE HealthCare products and technologies.
• Preferred: Experience in a regulated healthcare or medical device environment.
