Field Service Engineer – Medical Imaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain medical imaging equipment at customer locations across the country.

• Provide exceptional customer service by managing expectations, fulfilling commitments and arrival times, and addressing customer concerns.

• Foster customer relationships and aid in the growth of service revenue.

• Collaborate with the regional team to enhance processes, identify training deficiencies, and share best practices.

• Acquire knowledge of new tools and become proficient across various modalities as required.

• Complete administrative and compliance-related tasks, including timesheets, service work orders, expense reports, preventative maintenance (PMs), field change orders (FCOs), and installation documentation.

• Diagnose and address electronic, mechanical, and network-related system challenges.

• Conduct preventative maintenance, field modifications, installations, and corrective services within the required timeframes.

• Travel frequently, approximately 90%, to designated customer sites and provide nationwide field support as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in diagnostic imaging service, whether in a field or hospital setting, or 3+ years in an electromechanical service environment.

• Preferred experience in supporting diagnostic X-Ray, Cath Labs, or Image-Guided therapy equipment.

• Strong technical skills with a solid understanding of electronic, mechanical, and networking principles.

• Capability to install, troubleshoot, and repair intricate systems.

• Proficient in utilizing a diverse range of diagnostic tools and testing equipment.

• An associate degree in electronics or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.

• Effective problem-solving abilities in regulated service settings.

• Ability to fulfill physical, cognitive, and environmental requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Willingness to travel approximately 90%, including overnight stays and nationwide air travel.

• Must reside in a city within the Metro NYC / Tri-State Area territory, which encompasses the majority of the customer base.

• Must be located within a one-hour drive of a major non-regional airport.

• US work authorization is required; candidates needing current or future sponsorship will not be considered.

• Ability to work in hospitals, healthcare facilities, home offices, and remote environments.
