Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on Arjo’s medical equipment located in hospitals across southeast Michigan and northwest Ohio.

• Execute maintenance, repairs, installations, upgrades, and in-service training at medical facilities for customers.

• Identify technical issues and provide repair cost estimates for customer-owned medical equipment.

• Support the Sales team through collaborative calls, in-services, sales lead generation, demonstrations, and trade show preparations.

• Increase revenue from Service Contracts through the acquisition and renewal of contracts.

• Adhere to company protocols, customer expectations, and regulatory health and safety standards.

• Accurately complete and submit necessary reports.

• Oversee inventory of spare parts.

• Commute daily to customer medical facilities.

• Be prepared for overnight travel 20–30% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

• An Associate’s Degree in an Electrical or Mechanical field is preferred.

• Experience in the repair and maintenance of electromechanical equipment is required.

• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical assembly.

• Relevant training and/or certifications are desirable.

• Previous sales experience is an advantage.

• Capability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical schematics.

• Must hold a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and to push/pull 75 pounds.

• Residency in the Detroit Metro Area is expected.

• Willingness to travel periodically to the Toledo/Bowling Green area.

• 20–30% overnight travel is required.
