Field Service Engineer 1 – DCS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct maintenance, audits, configuration, programming, installation/commissioning, upgrades, and migration of Honeywell control systems.

• Validate customer requests and nurture customer relationships.

• Periodically communicate with customers regarding technical and administrative matters.

• Offer customer support for Honeywell Control Systems and service-related inquiries.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Honeywell hardware/software, including Experion PKS, LCN, and TPS/DCS systems.

• Upgrade Experion software releases on live control systems while ensuring industrial processes remain uninterrupted.

• Migrate legacy Honeywell control systems to new technology solutions.

• Comprehend customer processes and economic drivers, providing research and recommendations accordingly.

• Support Sales during sales initiatives and represent Honeywell to end-users.

• Acquire knowledge of end-to-end product and solution development, delivery, and execution.

• Utilize technical expertise to enhance customer experience.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4 years of professional experience in a related field such as field service, technical operations, industrial maintenance, process automation, heavy manufacturing, prior military experience, development, and/or reliability engineering.

• Willingness and capability to travel up to 80% of the time, with potential stretches of up to 2 weeks away from home at once (VA, NC, TN).

• Ability to achieve multiple L3 certifications within 18 months.

• Experience in upgrading and migrating legacy control systems to new technology platforms without causing disruptions to industrial processes.

• Familiarity with control systems and Industrial IT environments.

• Background in software configuration, migration, project engineering, virtualization, cyber process control, electrical, or other relevant application areas.

• A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math is preferred.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication, as well as organizational skills.

• Self-sufficient and capable of independent learning.

• Must be a US citizen, permanent resident, asylum/refugee, or eligible to receive export approval.
