Field Service Engineer, Junior – East Midlands, UK/I, EU Travel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Install, upgrade, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on vascular capital equipment and diagnostic tools within Cath labs.

• Offer hardware/software field support, encompassing system installation, maintenance, calibration, upgrades, troubleshooting, and repairs.

• Prepare and maintain demo systems for conferences.

• Document field service activities in accordance with QA system protocols.

• Report incidents related to capital equipment as per QA system guidelines.

• Provide technical support and assistance for in-house training sessions and conferences.

• Educate customer biomedical engineering departments, Abbott sales personnel, and field clinical staff on system maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.

• Collaborate closely with clinicians, central dispatch, and the sales team.

• Enhance customer satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.

• Travel extensively both nationally and internationally based on business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ideally located in Peterborough, Leicestershire, or Northampton.

• Full eligibility to work in the UK and the ability to travel to the EU/Ireland without the need for a visa.

• Previous experience in electronics service is essential.

• Experience with medical devices or software-based medical systems is a plus.

• Strong electronic or mechanical engineering skills, including troubleshooting capabilities.

• Proficiency in computer applications: MS Office and Linux.

• Familiarity with Cath lab/operating room procedures and protocols is advantageous.

• Willingness to be flexible, respond promptly to scheduling needs, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Outstanding communication skills.

• Significant national and international travel required.

• 80% travel expected during the first two years.
