This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Act as the technical authority for diagnosing and resolving intricate equipment challenges.
• Offer guidance, mentorship, and assistance to junior Field Service Engineers.
• Support the training and onboarding process for new team members.
• Lead the installation and configuration of sophisticated equipment at client locations.
• Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and urgent repairs.
• Ensure that all tasks comply with company standards and client specifications.
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical assistance.
• Facilitate on-site training and offer system guidance to end users.
• Foster strong customer relationships to promote long-term success.
• Plan, organize, and execute field service projects effectively.
• Manage resources and timelines to guarantee timely project completion.
• Keep precise service documentation, reports, and equipment records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
• Identify and execute process enhancements to improve service efficiency and quality.
• Assist in managing inventory of tools, parts, and calibration equipment.
• Present a positive image while interacting with the Service Group.
• Supervise and provide technical assistance to junior FSEs.
• Cultivate a collaborative, proactive, results-driven team environment.
• Oversee team organization, documentation, preventive maintenance, and calibration jig inventory.
• Collaborate with Sales and colleagues.
• FSE III typically requires 7 - 10 years of relevant experience.
• An AA/AS Degree is preferred; alternatively, 7 years of mechanical and electromechanical equipment repair experience in the Surface Mount Technology sector may substitute for a degree.
• A valid U.S. Driver’s License is required.
• A valid U.S. passport is necessary.
• Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, up to 80% of the time.
• Ability to lift 60–75 lbs is required.
• Must be able to work around and within equipment.
• Must have the capability to bend into machinery without limitations.
• Advanced technical skills in diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues are essential.
• Professional appearance and demeanor are expected.
• Demonstrated competence and high-level service delivery.
• Timeliness and accuracy in documentation are crucial.
• Maintenance of current and quality preventive maintenance records is required.
• Responsible for keeping inventory of Calibration Jigs.
