Field Service Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Act as the technical authority for diagnosing and addressing intricate equipment challenges.

• Provide mentorship, guidance, and assistance to junior Field Service Engineers.

• Aid in the training and onboarding process for new team members.

• Oversee the installation and configuration of advanced equipment at customer locations.

• Carry out routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and urgent repairs.

• Ensure that all tasks comply with company standards and meet customer specifications.

• Deliver exceptional customer service and provide technical support.

• Conduct on-site training and offer system guidance to end users.

• Foster strong customer relationships to promote long-term success.

• Plan, schedule, and implement field service projects.

• Manage resources and timelines to ensure projects are completed on time.

• Maintain precise service documentation, reports, and equipment records.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.

• Identify and implement process enhancements to improve service efficiency and quality.

• Support the management of inventory related to tools, parts, and calibration equipment.

⛳️ Requirements

• FSE III generally requires 7 - 10 years of relevant experience.

• AA/AS Degree preferred; 7 years of experience in mechanical and electromechanical equipment repair within the Surface Mount Technology sector is acceptable in lieu of a degree.

• Project a positive image and interface effectively with the Service Group.

• Supervise and provide technical assistance to junior Field Service Engineers.

• Exhibit professionalism in both appearance and conduct.

• Deliver high-quality service and demonstrate competence.

• Oversee team operations and organization.

• Ensure timely and accurate documentation.

• Provide current and quality preventive maintenance for the Field Service Engineer Group.

• Maintain inventory of calibration jigs.

• Take care of company assets, including tools, laptops, and cell phones.

• Collaborate effectively with Sales and colleagues.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 80% of the time.

• Ability to work at customer sites and in field settings.

• Must be capable of lifting 60–75 lbs.

• Ability to work around and within equipment.

• Ability to bend into machinery without restrictions.

• Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License.

• Must hold a valid U.S. passport.
