This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Respond promptly to repair requests, installations, preventative maintenance, and various service calls.
• Offer advanced remote and on-site escalation assistance for Digital Pathology Equipment throughout the North American Selling Unit.
• Reduce customer downtime while creating revenue opportunities.
• Communicate trends and resolve parts-related issues.
• Distribute technical memorandums, bulletins, and associated information.
• Engage in regular Service Excellence calls to discuss trends, upcoming changes, and best practices.
• Work collaboratively with product management and relevant Business Unit departments to assess and uphold instrument quality reporting.
• Recognize declining quality trends and devise potential countermeasures.
• An Associate’s degree combined with 3+ years of experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation, or equivalent military experience working with mechanical, technical, laboratory, pneumatic, or related instruments.
• A Bachelor’s degree with a preference for IT networking experience.
• Willingness to travel 90%, including overnight trips within and outside the designated territory.
• A valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Capability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Preferred experience in Field Service Engineering for diagnosing and repairing medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instruments.
• Preference for candidates with Field Service Engineering and/or Networking/IT systems experience.
• Strong technical expertise and analytical problem-solving skills.
