This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Conduct on-site installation, repair, maintenance, qualification, and validation of IC-LC-MS instruments.
• Execute tasks related to the instrumental sector with optimal efficiency.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through exceptional repair and support services.
• Collaborate with ULS teams and Sales while keeping a client-centered approach.
• Prioritize and schedule repair, maintenance, and qualification tasks.
• Manage spare parts inventory, tools, manuals, and testing equipment.
• Promote and sell installation services, extended service contracts, preventative maintenance, and associated services.
• Inform customers about new products and upgrades, and communicate sales opportunities to account representatives.
• Carry out service activities in alignment with company values and the 4i principles.
• Maintain a clear focus on cost-saving measures.
• Train and assist customers in operating equipment.
• Document service activities and create comprehensive reports.
• Advanced Degree required, with no prior experience needed, or a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of hands-on technical experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex analytical instruments.
• Preferred academic disciplines include Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field.
• Additional relevant certifications are a plus.
• Strong skills in electronics and mechanical troubleshooting, including component-level diagnosis.
• Experience with ultra-high vacuum systems and high voltage equipment is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in customer service.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and service management software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50–75% within the designated territory.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various laboratory settings.
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Capacity to respond promptly to customer needs.
• Ability to effectively train and support customers in equipment operation.
• Experience in documenting service activities and preparing detailed reports.
