This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Install, repair, maintain, and provide qualification services for Fluidigm systems at client locations.
• Diagnose instrument hardware and software issues under various challenging conditions.
• Recognize and communicate opportunities for product and process enhancements.
• Utilize the customer management system to monitor work orders, oversee parts inventory, and fulfill administrative duties.
• Travel around 50% of the time, both on a scheduled and unscheduled basis.
• Operate autonomously while also collaborating as part of the Field Services team.
• Assist with high-value service projects and travel beyond the assigned coverage area when necessary.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers regarding technical and service-related inquiries.
• Provide outstanding service and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a Science or Engineering field, coupled with five years of relevant industry experience in the support or service of life science instruments.
• Extensive knowledge of optical, electrical, and mechanical subsystems.
• Proficiency in utilizing root cause analysis and corrective action strategies.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Preferred experience in supporting mass spectrometry instrumentation.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com is preferred.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, including both scheduled and unscheduled trips.
• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within the Field Services team.
• Readiness to travel outside the designated coverage area when necessary.
