This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Conduct start-up, commissioning, and post-start-up field services primarily in the data center sector.
• Strategically plan and carry out service tasks in line with customer requirements and expectations.
• Organize and prepare site operations for larger project teams while overseeing related subcontractors on-site.
• Ensure work is completed correctly on the first attempt, on schedule, and in compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with the Site Manager and Senior Field Service Technicians to pinpoint areas for improvement and implement necessary actions.
• Diagnose equipment, systems, and process failures; initiate corrective actions and escalate issues as required.
• Support the factory with data gathering and prompt reporting for fleet performance assessments, marketing insights, and service sales prospects.
• Aid customers in ordering spare parts, resolving issues, and providing necessary provisioning.
• Carry out tasks related to Power Delivery, Medium and Low Voltage Electrification, and Control Systems.
• Keep thorough documentation of assignments and finalize reports and test results utilizing job-related software.
• Swiftly arrange travel plans upon receiving assignments.
• Wear mandated personal protective equipment and uniforms at all times.
• Execute collateral responsibilities associated with HSE, Quality, and Integrity.
• High school diploma/GED with 5 years of practical electrical/electronics engineering experience; OR an associate degree/trade certification with 3 years of experience; OR a bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience; OR high school diploma/GED with 3 years of equivalent work or military experience in servicing critical power equipment.
• Theoretical knowledge in all facets of electrical design.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC), Safety Codes and Regulations, and QA (Local & National).
• Demonstrated analytical skills and capability for quality improvement.
• Proficient in collaborating with various levels of maintenance, engineering, and management.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficient in Google suite of products (Sheets, Docs, Drive, and Slides).
• Experienced with project issue resolution software (BIM, Compass, CxAlloy, Procore, etc.).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with external customers, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Preference for experience with Emerson RX3i, Proficy Machine Edition, ABB AC500 PLC, Automation Builder, CP600 HMI, PanelBuilder, Zenon, Cimplicity, Woodward Easygen, LSS, computer networking, Wireshark, IED Scout, relay testing and configuration, and RTAC configuration.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Currently authorized to live and work in the US.
• Willingness and ability to travel 90–100% throughout the United States, including long-term assignments that may require consecutive weeks of travel.
