This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Oversee and carry out on-site installations of UVeye automated vehicle inspection systems.
• Manage third-party contractors to ensure projects adhere to engineering specifications, timelines, safety regulations, and quality benchmarks.
• Install, configure, calibrate, and validate systems involving electrical, mechanical, networking, and civil components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, networking, and integration challenges on-site.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and respond to emergency service needs.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and operational protocols.
• Recognize hazards and enforce safe working practices for both employees and contractors on-site.
• Analyze site layouts, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Spot and escalate any discrepancies between planned and actual site conditions.
• Act as the primary technical liaison during field operations.
• Communicate effectively, manage customer expectations, and provide a professional customer experience.
• Keep precise installation and service records.
• Forward complex technical issues to Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams.
• Offer field insights that contribute to continuous improvement.
• Travel extensively to various customer locations, including dealerships, manufacturing plants, logistics hubs, warehouses, and outdoor settings throughout the United States.
• At least 4 years of experience as a Field Engineer or Field Technician specializing in hardware/software installation and deployment.
• Demonstrated experience leading teams or contractors during technical installation processes.
• Strong practical skills in civil works, networking, electrical wiring, and mechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with Linux-based systems and fundamental networking principles.
• Proven ability to document installation, service, and maintenance procedures effectively.
• Prior experience using AutoCAD or Autodesk for creating and interpreting site layouts.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead discussions and provide clear direction.
• Customer-focused mindset with a strong degree of resilience and adaptability in high-pressure situations.
• Strong commitment to safety and the ability to enforce compliance throughout all phases of a project.
• Willingness to travel up to 90% within the United States.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Technical certification or trade school training is preferred.
• Basic familiarity with Linux systems is ideal.
• Experience in customer-facing roles is advantageous.
• Capability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods at active job sites.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Competence in bending, reaching, climbing, and manually handling tools or components.
• Capacity to work in diverse environmental conditions, including heat, cold, noise, and dust.
• Proficiency in using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
