Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair TRUMPF CNC machinery.

• Cultivate and foster strong relationships with customers.

• Collaborate closely with customers and equipment to ensure machines function within designated tolerances.

• Work alongside Product Support for technical assistance and provide diagnostic insights.

• Utilize visual indicators, software, and diagnostic tools to identify machine issues.

• Interpret and utilize company repair manuals and work orders; recommend updates to technical documentation as necessary.

• Assemble, install, align, clean, and replace components to ensure machinery and equipment are well-maintained.

• Accurately report technical conditions and machine information to PSG and management.

• Collaborate with applications, sales, engineering, production, and other cross-functional teams.

• Deliver onsite training for customers regarding machine operation and/or repairs.

• Submit well-organized service reports for each maintenance task.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate degree or technical school certification in Engineering principles, or a relevant combination of education and experience.

• Familiarity with computer software, file management, electronics, digital circuits, wiring, mechanics, and hydraulics is advantageous.

• Must possess and maintain a clean and valid driver's license and driving record.

• Willingness to travel 100% across the nation, including overnight stays, occasional weekends, and international trips.
