Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Execute service operations for clinical-market Microarray (Affymetrix), PCR, and qPCR instruments

• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and validate instruments

• Deliver telephone support, diagnostics, and on-site customer assistance

• Advocate for contract products

• Develop and sustain professional customer relationships and address critical issues

• Oversee company assets, including inventory, tools, software, and vehicles

• Organize service planning and scheduling with relevant partners

• Accurately and promptly document service activities

• Coordinate customer-site operations with other Thermo Fisher Scientific teams and disseminate customer information

⛳️ Requirements

• Educational background in Electronics, Molecular Biology, Engineering, or related fields

• A minimum of 1–5 years of experience in servicing analytical equipment or equivalent experience as an applications specialist

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to collaborate effectively across various levels, functions, and regions

• Capacity to prioritize multiple tasks, particularly in clinical and medical settings

• Outstanding interpersonal and negotiation skills

• Proficient in PC skills

• Possession of a valid driving license

• Willingness to travel primarily within Comunidad de Madrid, Castilla La Mancha, Andalucía, and Comunidad Valenciana, as well as throughout the rest of Iberia, including the Canary Islands

• Capability to travel internationally across EMEA and the US for training purposes or special assignments

• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
