Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair complex analytical and scientific instruments.

• Provide outstanding field service to clients in research, industrial, and healthcare environments.

• Identify equipment issues, including diagnosing problems down to the component level.

• Deliver exceptional customer service.

• Educate and assist customers in operating the equipment.

• Record service activities and generate comprehensive reports.

• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and needs.

• Travel 50-75% within the designated territory.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced Degree with no prior experience required, or a Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of hands-on technical experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing intricate analytical instruments.

• Preferred academic backgrounds include Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline.

• Additional relevant certifications are a plus.

• Strong skills in electronics and mechanical troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose issues down to the component level.

• Experience with ultra-high vacuum systems and high voltage equipment is preferred.

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and service management software.

• Capability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel 50-75% within the assigned territory.

• Physical capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various laboratory settings.

• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

• Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards.

• Ability to address customer needs on short notice.

• Competence in effectively training and supporting customers in equipment operation.

• Experience in documenting service activities and creating detailed reports.

• Proven track record in achieving customer satisfaction goals.

• Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) safety standards.

• Capability to work with hazardous/toxic materials and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE).
