Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Execute installations, calibrations, and preventive maintenance on Sartorius instruments at customer locations.

• Guarantee the long-term operational functionality of the instruments.

• Deliver on-site technical assistance to customers.

• Evaluate reported issues and apply suitable corrective measures for sustainable problem resolution.

• Refer complex technical challenges to the appropriate support levels.

• Record findings in accordance with established processes.

• Generate comprehensive and precise service documentation, encompassing service reports, time tracking, and expense claims.

• Comply with both customer and company-specific health and safety regulations during all service tasks.

• Implement standardized service protocols, quality benchmarks, and guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an electronics technician, mechatronics technician, or a comparable qualification.

• Several years of experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support roles.

• Strong customer-facing skills.

• Demonstrated capability in diagnosing faults and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.

• Excellent communication abilities and a customer-oriented approach to work.

• Flexibility in working hours and a readiness to adapt to changes.

• Willingness to travel: typically 4–5 days per week at customer locations, including overnight stays.

• Proficiency in both spoken and written German and English.

• French language proficiency is a plus but not mandatory.

• Valid driver's license.
