This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Install, validate, maintain, verify the performance, and repair Revvity diagnostic testing instruments and equipment at customer locations.
• Provide preventative, remedial, warranty, and contract maintenance services within specified time frames.
• Strive for zero service recalls.
• Travel extensively within the assigned geographic region, including long-distance and overnight trips.
• Offer billing information based on installation, warranty, and service agreement terms.
• Promote value-added options such as service contracts, upgrades, instrument add-ons, training, support, software, laboratory services, and hardware enhancements.
• Assist local sales representatives in securing new instrument orders.
• Contribute to the division's profitability through billable labor/travel, parts, support, installation, and consumables orders.
• Maintain electronic and repair documentation for dispatch, inventory, and service support.
• Accurately complete required reports in a timely manner.
• Manage assigned company assets and inventory levels.
• Enhance technical and interpersonal skills through company-sponsored training and development programs.
• Achieve higher-level certifications and uphold certification standards associated with the CSE role.
• Associate’s degree or Technical Degree with over 4 years of experience in instrument installation, repairs, and maintenance OR Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Electronics, Mechanics, Biotechnology, or a STEM discipline with over 2 years of experience in instrument installation, repairs, and maintenance.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
• Capability to operate a motor vehicle safely.
• Willingness to frequently travel long distances and overnight.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety practices.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Proficient in reading and comprehending technical bulletins and service manuals.
• Ability to work effectively under time constraints.
• Maintain alertness and focus.
• Capability to work safely with potential electrical, chemical, radiologic, and biological hazards while adhering to universal precautions.
• Competence in operating a personal computer for data entry and report generation.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, colleagues, managers, and other technical support staff.
• Experience with Radioisotope Detection Systems (Beta and Gamma Counters).
• Electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including frequently lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
• Willingness to travel by air, vehicle, and/or other means of transportation as business demands.
