Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of analytical PerkinElmer/Perten instruments, including NIR, process-NIR, and rheology solutions.

• Providing technical support for customers in Southern Germany and beyond.

• Building long-term customer relationships and advising on equipment performance, upgrades, and qualifications.

• Identifying sales opportunities for service contracts, consumables, and software updates.

• Training users and advising on process optimizations.

• Creating accurate service documentation.

• Ensuring timely and correct billing.

• Supporting continuous improvements through fault analysis.

• Independently planning daily work while considering response times, customer priorities, and travel efficiency.

• Managing the Southern Germany region and traveling nationwide and to neighboring countries as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical training or vocational qualification (mechatronics technician, electrician, or related field).

• Experience in managing software-based analytical electromechanical instruments.

• Fluent in German & proficient in English (written and spoken).

• Class B driving license and willingness to travel.

• Residence in postal code areas 7, 8, or 9, or willingness to relocate to this area.

• Team player with strong communication skills.

• Valid work permit for Germany is required.
