Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Organize tasks at customer job locations

• Diagnose problems using technical blueprints and documentation

• Conduct regular maintenance and emergency repairs

• Continuously enhance knowledge of customer operational workflows, packaging designs, and technical specifications

• Install Packsize solutions and instruct others on their usage and maintenance

• Execute basic clerical and administrative responsibilities, such as responding to emails, preparing expense reports, arranging travel, and drafting comprehensive technical reports

• Convey information and ideas effectively with Packsize and customer personnel

• Comply with Packsize and customer safety protocols related to exposed moving components and electrical systems

• Develop and sustain strong, trust-based relationships with customers

• Collaborate closely with Packsize support team members to deliver outstanding customer service

• Conduct start-up testing and provide customer training on product capabilities, features, and maintenance

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong customer service orientation

• Familiarity with Windows operating systems

• Proficient and effective use of hand tools

• Understanding of mechanical systems

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Basic experience with Microsoft Excel and Word or Google Suite Sheets and Docs is advantageous, but not mandatory

• Associate's Degree, Vocational Training, or equivalent experience

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving history

• Willingness to travel by vehicle or airplane domestically

• Readiness and capability to frequently lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

• Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time

• Capability to navigate inside and outside of equipment, warehouse, and office environments and position oneself to work on equipment

• Proficiency in operating hand and power tools, computers, and other office machinery

• Ability to occasionally climb or descend a ladder to reach elevated areas on equipment

• Availability for on-call work

• Frequent overnight travel may be required

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is preferred
