This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, service, and repair equipment solutions at customer facilities.
• Conduct start-up testing, validation, and commissioning of Automatic Packaging Solutions Systems.
• Provide customer training on product capabilities, features, and general maintenance procedures.
• Execute specified service and installation calls for designated customers.
• Assist in the management of customer installation projects.
• Organize tasks at customer job sites.
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency services as required.
• Manage support requests, issues, and spare parts for end customers.
• Utilize technical drawings and documentation for troubleshooting purposes.
• Continuously learn about customer operational processes, packaging designs, and technical specifications.
• Document, report, and handle administrative tasks related to project installations and preventative maintenance.
• Manage emails, expense reports, travel arrangements, and technical documentation.
• Communicate effectively with company and customer personnel.
• Comply with company and customer safety standards and protocols.
• Work towards achieving established performance KPIs.
• Foster and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers.
• Travel frequently, including internationally, with approximately 50–70% of overnight travel.
• Bachelor's degree or technical education OR a minimum of 3 years of experience in troubleshooting electrical or mechanical equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities with a customer-first approach.
• Proficient in the use of mechanical and electrical hand tools.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Detail-oriented and able to work well under stress.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
• Comfortable working independently and managing time with minimal supervision.
• Customer service-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities.
• Innovative and confident in decision-making with a hands-on approach.
• Positive attitude and quick learner in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficient in English and the local language (both spoken and written).
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Required to stand, walk, kneel, and bend for several hours consistently.
• Willingness to travel and work shifts, including weekends.
• Previous experience as a Resident Engineer or in a customer-facing field service role is a plus.
• Familiarity with automated packaging systems or industrial automation equipment is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of PLC systems and industrial sensors is preferred.
• Experience in technical documentation, reporting, or digital service tools is beneficial.
• Valid driver's license is a plus.
• Preferred 5+ years of hands-on experience with electro-mechanical systems.
