Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Install, commission, and set up equipment in accordance with both company and customer specifications.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure peak performance of equipment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software-related challenges.

• Repair or replace faulty components and parts as necessary.

• Promptly respond to service requests and customer support inquiries.

• Accurately document service activities, maintenance logs, and repair reports.

• Offer technical training and operational support to customers and end users.

• Work together with engineering, technical support, and sales teams to address complex issues.

• Monitor equipment performance and suggest enhancements or upgrades.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety protocols, and industry regulations.

• Manage service tools, testing equipment, and spare parts inventory effectively.

• Travel frequently to customer sites as needed.

• Travel is expected to be around 90% of the time.


⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent military background.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in field service, maintenance, or technical support is preferred.

• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.

• Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Capability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and service management software.

• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel extensively.

• Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work in industrial environments for prolonged durations.

• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays.

• Openness to occasional international travel as required.

• Strong customer service orientation.

• Proficient problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Keen attention to detail.
