Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver preventive and general maintenance, breakdown repairs, troubleshooting, and corrective measures for analytical and metallographic instruments.

• Execute installations of new instrumentation, along with updates and installation of upgrade kits.

• Conduct training sessions covering theory, operation, software, and best maintenance practices.

• Ensure all work complies with LECO’s ISO accreditation standards.

• Travel to customer locations in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and neighboring areas as required.

• Highly motivated individual possessing strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Compliance with customer site regulations and safety protocols.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

• Successfully complete 3–5 months of instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan.

• Undergo field service training with seasoned field service engineers nationwide.

• Participate in annual service training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan.

• Willingness to travel daily, including up to four overnight stays per week, from Monday to Friday.

• Possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving history.

• Successfully pass a background check and substance abuse screenings.

• Authorized to work in the US without any restrictions.

• Have a personal credit card or the capability to obtain one.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Previous experience with AC and DC electronics, or the ability to acquire such knowledge.

• At least one of the following: Two-Year Technical Degree, Trade School, prior military training in a technical field, or equivalent work experience/training in a technical area.

• A background in chemistry or military service is a plus, but not mandatory.
