Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Install autonomous vehicles along with associated equipment, such as chargers, I/O panels, and operator interfaces.

• Conduct system testing, debugging, and validation procedures.

• Travel to customer locations both domestically and internationally 60–75% of the time.

• Modify existing equipment and software as necessary.

• Troubleshoot issues related to electrical, mechanical, and software system components.

• Make necessary adjustments to both software and hardware.

• Monitor and assess system performance metrics.

• Provide training to customers.

• Engage and interface with customers effectively.

• Collaborate with fellow engineers on various projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, etc.) or a related field.

• At least 2+ years of full-time engineering experience is required.

• Competence in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

• Prior experience in software development is essential (C, C++, MATLAB, Python, Visual Basic preferred).

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.

• Ability to compose reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.

• Skilled in effectively presenting information and addressing questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

• Proficiency in CAD software is required (AutoCAD is preferred).

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

• Preference for candidates residing in the Dayton, Ohio or Chicago, Illinois area; other locations may be considered based on experience.
