Field Service Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Organize and manage assignments as instructed by the HUB Lead.

• Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and calibrate heat treatment equipment at client locations.

• Deliver exceptional service performance in terms of execution quality, repair speed, and customer-facing professionalism.

• Document completed service tasks and log any potential warranty claims.

• Recognize and advocate for upselling and cross-selling opportunities for heat treatment equipment services.

• Determine necessary tools, consumables, and spare parts required for service execution.

• Serve as the primary contact for customers with active service contracts.

• Plan and coordinate service jobs in conjunction with the HUB Lead.

• Log hours worked and job assignments in the time and attendance system.

• Submit expense reports for evaluation and approval.

• Adhere to Ipsen’s safety protocols and policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant industrial equipment operation and/or maintenance experience is required.

• Experience in the heat treatment sector and/or completion of a rigorous industry training program is preferred.

• Familiarity with equipment calibration, pyrometry, vacuum, thermal, and TUS experience is advantageous.

• Understanding of the heat treatment industry.

• Capability to maintain heat treatment equipment effectively.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong mechanical and electrical skills and aptitude.

• Proficient in basic computer operations, including MS Office, ERP, and CRM systems.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities with a hands-on approach.

• Preference for candidates residing within the assigned HUB location or within a 30-minute drive of a HUB border.

• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and necessary automobile insurance coverage.

• Willingness to travel as required by automobile, airplane, or other means.
